Vulnerable group: elderly people
Human rights area: #righttolife

The applicant claims that her mother died as a result of medical negligence. Although the woman arrived at the hospital with alarming symptoms, among which incoherence and fainting, the applicant claims that the doctors did not examine her properly and sent her home shortly after.  On the way home the woman suffered a stroke which led to her losing consciousness and died immediately after the ambulance arrived to her. The Medical Council, upon application from the victim’s daughter, is conducting a disciplinary investigation against the attending physician for defective medical services.

Pro Bono Lawyer Smaranda Cristea (Iași Bar) is helping the applicant in his legal actions against the hospital.
